RESUME

Born Oberhausen, Germany and graduated from the Teatro Colón Art School.

DEBUT

At the Teatro Colón, singing the Evangelist at the american premiere of Ginastera´s "Turbae", conducted by Robert Page. OPERA I have developed most of my career at the Teatro Colón, in Buenos Aires, where I sang the role of Thoas in Gluck´s "Iphigénie en Tauride" conducted by Ivor Bolton with Beni Montresor´s regie; Janacek´s "Jenufa", led by Berislav Klobucar (videos of these two edited by Teatro Colón); "Werther", "Romeo and Juliet" , "Rigoletto", "Macbeth", " Tosca", "Carmen" and the world premiere of "La Oscuridad de la Razón" by P. Camps.

Some of my previous engagements in other houses include Alfio in "Cavalleria Rusticana", Zurga in "Pecheurs du Perles" and "Traviata"´s Germont. IN CONCERT I also enjoy very much oratory and chamber singing. I assumed the leading baritone parts in F. Mendelssohn´s "First Night of Walpurgis" at the Sodre Auditorium in Montevideo, as well as premieres of S. Rachmaninoff´s " Bells" in Bahía Blanca and " Spring" in Mendoza and numerous recitals.

During 1999 I participated in diverse concerts celebrating Puschkin´s bicentennial, among which recitals entirely devoted to russian opera and chamber music in Buenos Aires and Vologda (Russia)
